OUR MISSION
The Singapore Cancer Society is a community-based voluntary health organisation dedicated to minimizing the impact of cancer through public education, screening, patient services, financial assistance, research and advocacy.
Our Programmes:
1. Public Education
Forums, talks and campaigns to educate the public on cancer prevention and control
2. Cancer Screening
Free cancer screening services
• Pap smear test (for Cervical cancer)
• Faecal Occult Blood Test [FOBT] (for Colorectal cancer)
Health Education
• Breast self-examination (for Breast cancer)
3. Patient Service
Free hospice homecare for terminally-ill cancer patients
Free rehabilitation support for cancer patients and survivors
Support group activities for:
• Breast cancer patients (Reach to Recovery)
• Colorectal cancer patients (Ostomy Club)
• Nasopharynx cancer patients (New Voice Club)
• Look Good…Feel Better programme
• Help the children and youth programme
4. Welfare Assistance
Cancer treatment subsidy for needy cancer patients
Financial assistance for needy cancer patients
Free medical supplies and transport service for needy cancer patients to and from hospitals
